In October of 2011, my dad was robbed & beaten at his jewelry store. They beat him in the head with a gun, stomped his chest, and pretty much left him there on the floor to die. He was concussed and was swelling and bleeding from the brain. He’s the nicest guy in the world and would’ve gave them whatever they wanted if they would’ve just asked. Luckily, the bleeding stopped and the only lasting effect he has is temporary dizziness from the concussion. I’m so thankful everyday that he alright and doing great now. The 2 guys were caught 2 days after the robbery. (Fast forward a year and a half later…) Yesterday, they took a plea deal, and the court case was finally settled. Each one got 20 years with NO chance of parole. I’m excited that there is finally some closure in this whole ordeal, and thankful to everyone involved who helped lock them up. Most of all I’m thankful to still have my dad, who is the greatest man I know.
